First Responders Honored for Life-Saving Efforts in Cardiac Emergency

La Junta, CO - The Southeastern Colorado Regional EMS and Trauma Advisory Council (SECRETAC) proudly recognized members of "C Shift" and staff from DFPC Engine 34 today for their exceptional life-saving actions during a cardiac emergency in June at the Coffee Holding Plant in La Junta.

These dedicated first responders were presented with challenge coins, symbolizing their achievement in successfully administering CPR and utilizing a defibrillator to restore a patient's heart to a normal rhythm multiple times.

Their swift and effective intervention helped save a life during this critical situation.

We extend our deepest gratitude to these professionals for their unwavering commitment and service to our community. Their quick thinking, skill, and dedication continue to make a vital difference.
