Obituary

Marcellia Juanita Lopez-Flores, born to Thomas “Chimpy” Lopez and Gloria Lopez on October 14, 1964 in Rocky Ford. Marcie was born and raised in Rocky Ford. She graduated from Rocky Ford High School. Marcie dedicated 22 years to Tri-County Family Care Center as the parents as teachers educator. She devoted her life to helping the community.

She also impacted many families lives in the Otero County area. She enjoyed family BBQs, playing cards, play dates with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her iced coffee, dinner dates at Golden Corral with her husband and granddaughter, Saturday morning yard sales, and fishing with her husband. Marcie was a very kind and forgiving soul that will be missed by many.

Marcie is survived by her mother Glotia T. Lopez, husband Valentine O. Flores, 3 siblings: Renee, Rachel, Snorky, 3 children: Daniel, Shavonne, Robert (Andra), 4 grandchildren: Murcille (Cyndey), Nella, Hailey, Braeson, as well as her great-grandson Liam. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas “Chimpy” Lopez, along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Visitation Held on Monday, October 21st, 2024 at 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Bellwood Ustick Funeral Home in Rocky Ford, Colorado.

Services Held on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Colorado.

Bellwood Ustick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
