Ryon Medical La Junta and Lamar offices are closed due to the weather Friday, 11/8/24. Staff is working remotely and will be contacting patients to make changes for existing appointments. For emergencies, call 911. Office line is available to leave messages for non emergent services. Stay warm and safe.

Due to inclement weather conditions, CCSD will be CLOSED tomorrow Friday, November 8th, 2024. All afternoon practices and games are canceled for Friday and Saturday. Stay warm!

La Junta JR/SR High School:

Due to the weather, our community service day activities scheduled for tomorrow, Friday November 8th, have been canceled. Please stay safe and warm!

Tomorrow, Friday Nov. 8th, Junior High Girl's Wrestling tournament in Rocky Ford has been postponed.

Rocky Ford will now host their tournament on November 22nd, which was scheduled to be in La Junta.

Saturday's Junior High boys basketball tournament at Tiger Gym and the Intermediate School has been cancelled. Stay warm and safe this weekend!!

La Junta Nazarene Craft Fair and Bake Sale Rescheduled Due to the accumulation of snow and icy roads, we have decided to postpone the craft fair until December 7th. The time will remain the same. If you have reserved a table and this conflicts with your schedule, please Contact Carol at (719) 384-8458. Thank you!

The AVRMC gift shop will be closed Friday, November 8 due to the weather and road conditions. We plan to be open Monday November 11 from 9:30-4:30. 

La Junta Senior Center on a 2-hour delay November 8, 2024 due to weather and road conditions.

Due to the continued Winter Storm Warning through Saturday morning and the predicted snowfall and accumulation, ALL Swink School District activities for Friday, November 8, are canceled.

Swink Regional Volleyball is moved to Sunday (11/10) at 1 pm.

Loveland Classical vs Burlington (Home) -  2:30 pm 

Burlington vs Swink (Home) - 4 pm.

La Junta VA Clinic will be Closed on Friday, Nov 8 Due to Weather and Road Conditions. They will be Closed Monday, Nov. 11, 2024.

Friday, Nov 8, will be a two hour late start for Kit Carson School District.  If we move to a full closure, decision will be made by 7:45am tomorrow.   Also,  the message system is glitching.  Please help spread the word.

Small Town Project Food Share will be  closed Friday, November 8th due to inclement weather.

The Otero County Courthouse and County Offices are Closed Today, 11/8/24 Due to Weather and Road Conditions...

Court and Probation offices in Otero, Crowley, and Bent counties are closed today 11/8/24.

Friday, November 8: Due to the winter weather conditions, Bent's Old Fort is currently operating under a two-hour Delay.

Bent County Public Health will be closed today 11/8 due to inclement weather. Stay safe!

Baca County Public Health Agency is CLOSED today - Friday, November 8th, 2024 due to adverse winter weather! 

City of Las Animas, Colorado will be closed again today due to inclement weather. Please stay safe and warm. If you don't have to travel, DON'T! Again, a huge shout out to our Publc Works and Light and Power Departments for their services to the city.

The Bent County Extension Office is closed today, November 8, due to weather.

Rocky Ford library will be closed again today. We will also be closed on Monday the 11th in observance of Veterans day. We will be open again on Tuesday the 12th.

The Bent County GATS Bus will be closed today, Friday November 08, 2024 due to current weather and road conditions of this winter storm cell.

We apologize for this inconvenience, but the safety of the community is the biggest concern. Please stay warm and stay safe.

The City of Lamar is on a two-hour delay  start today. 

Woodruff Memorial Library will be CLOSED today, 11/8/24. For now, WML is on a 2 hour delay Saturday.

Due to the winter weather,  all City of La Junta buildings and services are closed today, Friday, November 8th.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, continuing snowfall and wind expected throughout the day, the Prowers County Commissioners have decided that all County Offices will close today 11/8/2024. The courts will remain open.

Lamar SAGE will not serve meals today due to the weather. No delivery will be made to Holly or Eads. We apologize for the inconvenience!

The Baca County Courthouse and Department of Human Services is CLOSED today - Friday, November 8th, 2024 due to adverse winter weather.

November 8th: Tonight’s performance of “The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood” has been canceled due to weather. We are hopeful that we will be able to perform tomorrow’s show with a modified time and a possible Sunday matinee. The cast and crew have worked incredibly hard and it would be heartbreaking for a “little” snow to stop them.
