Bent County Sheriff’s Office Recovers Stolen Vehicle, Suspect Apprehended

On October 6th 2024 the Bent County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen vehicle believed to be within county limits. Thanks to the swift response and teamwork of the Bent County Posse, Colorado State Patrol, and Bent County Sheriff’s Deputies, the vehicle was located, and the driver, identified as Stonewall Caddick Jr., was apprehended without incident.

Stonewall Caddick Jr. has been taken into custody and faces charges of Motor Vehicle Theft 2nd Degree, Stop Lamps-defective, Unsafe Or Defective Vehicle, Driver's License-expired 1 Year/less.

The vehicle was returned to its owner.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
