Barbershop Harmony Returns to Otero College with America the Beautiful Chorus Concert

The fifth Community Concert of the 2025-26 season will be sung by America the Beautiful chorus and three quartets. In 4-part harmony, they will sing such favorites as “Sentimental Journey,” “Edelweiss,” and “Do You Hear the People Sing.” Their concert begins at 2 pm on Sunday, March 29 in the Ed Stafford Theatre on the Otero College campus.

Founded in 1946, the America the Beautiful Chorus of more than 20 men sings 4-part barbershop harmony, as well as other a cappella styles. Their goal is to bring people together in harmony and fellowship to enrich lives through singing. Their director, Jim Clark, comes from a family with three generations of barbershop singers.

Admission for adults is by Community Concert membership, or $20 ticket for sale at the door. Youngsters under the age of 18 have free admission if they accompany an adult.
