E-Bike Rider Dies After Collision With SUV at Fort Collins Intersection

E-Bike Crash In Fort Collins Turns Fatal
(Larimer County, Colorado) – On May 22, 2026, at about 4:51 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol responded to the area of South Timberline Road and East Lincoln Avenue in Fort Collins, Colorado, for a reported crash involving an E-Bike and a red Lincoln SUV.
The E-Bike was traveling eastbound on East Lincoln Avenue, approaching the stop sign at the intersection of South Timberline Road, and the Lincoln SUV was northbound on South Timberline Road, traveling through the intersection. This is a two-way stop intersection with stop signs only on the East Lincoln Avenue sides. The E-Bike rider disregarded the stop sign and continued traveling through the intersection when it was struck on its right side by the Lincoln SUV. The rider, a 23-year-old male, was thrown from the E-Bike. The rider was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries on May 25, 2026.
The Colorado State Patrol is the primary investigating agency for this incident. No charges have been filed in this case.
