La Junta Gymnast Heads to Nationals for Second Straight Year

LA JUNTA, Colorado. — Jennylynn Zamora, 12, a talented gymnast from La Junta is once again preparing to compete on the national stage after earning a spot at the National Championship for a second consecutive year.
The rising star has already built an impressive resume at a young age. Last season, she captured the titles of state champion, national champion, and AAU Junior Olympic champion, establishing herself as one of the top athletes in division 1.
This year, she has continued her remarkable success by climbing to division 3 and once again claimed the state championship in bars and beam, solidifying her presence in the gymnastics scene. With nationals approaching in Knoxville, Tennessee, she is focused, determined, and motivated to defend her title against some of the nation’s best gymnasts. A strong performance there will set the stage for the Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa, this July.
Hours of training, commitment to improvement, and a competitive spirit have helped her remain at the top of her sport and with another national championship in her sights, this young gymnast continues to inspire others through her hard work, determination, and pursuit of excellence. All eyes will be in Knoxville as she takes the floor with hopes of showcasing her skills, representing her community, and bringing another championship back home to La Junta.
