Description: Residents returning to Beulah and nearby communities are urged to watch for active fire, hazardous trees, damaged utilities, ash pits, debris and ongoing firefighting operations...

As some communities begin to transition back into their homes, we want residents to be aware of some common threats and hazards as you re-enter the fire area.
Most importantly - The fire is still active. Please stay alert, stay vigilant, and stay prepared. Don't travel into the fire area.
Other non-fire hazards are present in the area - such as standing dead trees, damaged gas and electrical lines, ash pits, and other debris that could possibly harm you. See the graphic below for more details.
Fire personnel are still working in the area - use caution when traveling on roadways, understanding that operations will be ongoing.
Additionally, we want to make you aware that some fire personnel are traveling in unmarked vehicles. Due to the nature of how far our resources have had to travel – in this case, largely from Alaska – many resources are using rental vehicles to drive and move equipment around the fire area.
If you have concerns about an unmarked vehicle in your area, you may contact the fire information line at (719) 697-8353 from 8am to 8pm to confirm their validity of being there. As always, report any suspicious activity to your local law enforcement agency. We kindly ask that you do not approach these vehicles to verify their validity yourselves.
Thank you for your understanding. We are wishing Beulah and the surrounding communities a safe transition home and our hearts are with you as you rebuild.
