La Junta Senior Golf League - results for August 18, 2026

The La Junta Senior Golf League's challenge this week: make a designated putt on one hole in order to move to a closer tee box on the next hole! Fifty-one senior golfers joined in for nine holes of scramble-style golf on Tuesday, August 18.  A challenge chip was on hole #5, but no one made it this week.

Announcements: Mark Johnston was awarded a prize for making the challenge chip last week. The results of a survey the league completed last week were announced about the La Junta Hall of Fame Golf Tournament.

Next week the group will meet again on Tuesday morning, August 25. There will be another putting challenge on each hole and making those putts will lower the team's score. Registration will be open from 8:00 a.m.to 8:30 a.m. with teams being picked at 8:45 a.m. No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.
