LJ Senior Golf League - results for September 15, 2026

With 45 golfers present, the La Junta Senior Golf league started out the day with a group putting event on hole #8. All the golfers surrounded the green and putted at the same time. Anyone making the putt would be awarded a prize. Mulligan tickets were awarded if the ball was within 18 inches of the hole.  Out of the 45 golfers, no one made it into the hole, however, six players made it within 18 inches of the hole and won two free mulligan tickets: Mike Bauserman, Jay Bollacker, Ron Bay, Claudia Conley, Pat Engebrecht and Albert Davis.

We then split into nine teams and played a scramble game.  The challenge chip was on hole #2, but was not made successfully.  The challenge putt on hole #5 was made by Kevin Buchner and CaSandra Thomas. One last challenge to the golfers was a chip set up on the practice green and making the chip onto the green was worth a mulligan on hole #8 only.  Seventeen golfers were able to make their chip stay on the green.

Next Tuesday, September 22, we will meet at the La Junta Golf Course for another round of golf. It will be the odd/even dice scramble game.  Registration will be open from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m., with teams being picked at 8:45 a.m. No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 am. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.
