Colorado's M.O.S.T. Program Continues to Show Training Saves Riders from Crashes
CO-MOST Trained Students Made Up Less Than 10% of all Motorcycle Crashes in Colorado
(COLORADO) – In the State Fiscal Year 2026, Colorado's Motorcycle Operator Safety Training (MOST) Program schools trained over 10,000 students. This number reflects more riders receiving hands-on skills training that can help prevent crashes and save lives on our roadways. When comparing course attendees against state crash data, CO MOST students show a significantly lower likelihood of being in a motorcycle crash. In addition, if they are in a crash, CO MOST graduates are less likely to be at fault.
In fiscal year 2026, over 2,000 motorcycle crashes were recorded, and only 9.83% involved MOST-trained students. From cruisers to sports bikes, and everything in between, where you learn to ride matters – and schools that have Colorado State Patrol oversight make better, safer riders. More data can be found in the CO MOST Annual Report.
