The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office has recently become aware of false allegations and misinformation circulating on social media regarding ongoing cases. As the Coroner, I’m concerned by the spread of inaccurate information.

The cases being referenced remain under active investigation by the Pueblo Police Department and the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office. Out of respect for the investigative process, we remain committed to ensuring that information shared with the public is accurate and appropriate.
 
The current environment does not, and will not impact the importance of thorough and accurate investigations. The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office remains committed to transparency, integrity, and serving as a voice for those who can no longer speak for themselves.
 

We ask the public to exercise caution when encountering claims and to allow the investigative process to proceed without interference.
