Single Motorcycle Crash Turns Fatal

(El Paso County, Colorado) – On September 7, 2026, at about 12:57 p.m., Colorado State Patrol responded to a single motorcycle crash on westbound Highway 24 near milepost 295, south of Cascade.

Initial investigation shows the motorcycle, ridden by a 34-year-old male, was traveling westbound on Highway 295 before going off the right side of the road. The motorcycle then struck the side of the mountain, causing the rider to be ejected. The single rider was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The identity of the rider will be released by the El Paso County Coroner after the next-of-kin notifications have been made.

This crash is being investigated by the Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit.
