There's not much worse than pulling into a parking space to find an unseen pothole. That won't be the case in downtown La Junta any more.

Colorado Avenue is getting its shoulders smoothed with new asphalt. Sections of downtown have been closed to traffic due to the ongoing project.

On Tuesday, September 15th the 200 block was under construction. Only one lane of traffic is being closed at a time.

Drivers should use caution in downtown La Junta while the asphalt replacement project continues...
