Bent County Sheriff Releases Fitzgerald Arrest Report

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, deputies of the Bent County Sheriff's Office, requested a warrant be issued for the arrest of Brian Alan Fitzgerald for Assault in the Third Degree, Menacing, Aggravated Retaliation of a Victim or Witness, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence.

A second arrest warrant was requested for the arrest of Brian Alan Fitzgerald for Intimidation of a victim. Menacing and Violation of a Protection Order.

These warrants were signed by a judge and deputies attempted to take Fitzgerald into custody. Deputies were informed that Fitzgerald had left the area. Deputies attempted to get Fitzgerald to talk with law enforcement but were unsuccessful.

On Tuesday. May 28, 2024, Deputies of the Bent County Sheriff's Office were informed that Fitzgerald turned himself in to Burlington Police Department. Bent County deputies transported Fitzgerald from Burlington Police Department back to the Bent County Jail.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, Fitzgerald was advised by a judge and received a $50,000 cash only bond and $3,000 cash/surety bond for the two warrants. Fitzgerald is currently being held in the Bent County Jail on the warrants.
