Kiowa County Coroner’s Office ID's Homicide Victims

The Kiowa County Coroner’s Office has identified the human remains recovered on September 20 in Kiowa County as Linda Estrada (44) of Emporia, Kansas and Amy Ford (39) of Emporia, Kansas.  A homicide investigation, being conducted by the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, remains active. There is no threat to the public associated with this incident. 

Because of the active nature of the investigation, no further information can be released at this time, but will be released at a later time when appropriate. All media inquiries should be directed at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Media Relations.
