Colorado State Patrol Seeks Hit-and-Run Driver After Pedestrian Injured on Arkansas River Bridge

Description: Colorado State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian struck on the Arkansas River bridge on Otero County Road 109 on October 29, 2024. The suspect vehicle, possibly a white flatbed pickup with extended side mirrors, failed to stop and may have damage on its front-right or right side. Hit and Run Crash Near La Junta

Troopers are Asking for the Public's Help


(La Junta, COLO) The Colorado State Patrol responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Otero County Road 109 near North Street on October 29, 2024 just after 8:00 pm.

When troopers arrived on scene they found a man on the Arkansas River bridge with serious injuries.  Their investigation indicated the man had been struck, possibly by a white flatbed pickup with sideview mirror extensions.  The driver failed to stop and has not reported their involvement with this crash.  The vehicle may have front-right, or right side damage as a result of the crash.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver should contact Colorado State Patrol Dispatch at 719-544-2424 and request to leave that information for Trooper Clark reference case number 2C240916.
