Pointen said that they were pursuing two potential funding sources for the Boggsville Historic Landmark. The first one is through the Daughters of the American Revolution and would be for $10,000. They have applied for the H.E.R. scholarship through the National Parks, which is targeting towards women and minorities, according to Pointon, it is worth $500,000 and they will probably need to fundraise matching funds.

Afterwards Pointen said, "Bent County Historical Society and Boggsville Historic Site are so very grateful for all the work accomplished by the volunteers!!! Thank you to members of the Bents Fort Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail Assn., Pure Gold, True Blue, and other community members! Also, "Thank You" to Thaxtons Market for donating bottled water for the workers. We are so lucky to live in such a caring community!"
