Woodruff Memorial Library in Need of Teen Volunteers

We are getting close to deadlines for the Teen Volunteer applications (May 13) and the Six Word Story Contest (May 22).

As of today, only one Teen Volunteer application that has been turned in and the deadline is Thursday. I would really like to have a team of at least 10 for the Summer Reading Program. Please also remind teens that the volunteer time will benefit them when applying for jobs, clubs, organizations, and scholarships. They can print an application from our website and Facebook or they can come into the library for a printed copy.

We have not received any teen entries for the Six Word Story Contest. This contest has three age categories (KIDS: K-6th grade, TEENS: 7th-12th grade, ADULTS: 18 & up). I know teens can use some cash! All they have to invest is some time coming up with their six word story and email it to me.
