The Otero County Commissioners Approved the minutes from the August 9th public hearing. 

The Commissioners Approved The Bills and Payroll.

During Audience Participation La Junta City Manager Rick Klein reported on the La Junta Trail System Plan, which is 90% complete according to Klein.

Otero County Administrator Amy White-Tanabe Reported on the county sales tax collections, trends, and compared current to previous years. Compared to last June Otero county sales taxes received is up by 19.5% and the County has collected 20.27% more than last year at this time, according to Tanabe, 1.2 million has been collected so far this year.

The Commissioners also approved the ambulance permits for Otero County.

They discussed the single entry/court remodel project including the announcement that SM Construction of Fowler won the bid for the project, which will cost $650,000 and be completed in about one year.
