Obituary

Wesley Raymond Gribble was born in Olney Springs, Co. February 4, 1944 to Willis Martin and Margarete Celestia Gribble. He passed from this life on Sept 16, 2021 with his family by his side.

Wesley was the youngest of 11 siblings. He was raised in Fruita, Co. and joined Army National Guard in 1962 but got injured shortly after, he was medically discharged. In 1963-65 He worked in the Uranium mines for Olney & Sons. Guitars were his passion and he was a lead guitar player for 40 years in several bands from Valley Riders to Country Crossroads. He loved hunting and fishing and in his spare time was a hunting guide. He could fix and mechanic most things which lead him to GM Mechanic in training. He loved helping the Public which lead to Police force for 10 years, EMT and Fire dept. and drove the Ambulance for Bent County, Engineer at Fort Lyon, Care Taker for Bent County Cemetery. Manager of Showalter Grain for 17 yrs. He also worked for the City of LasAnimas, worked for Bent Builders, Worked for John Deere for 10 years, and was a Farmer. After he retired he started his own Small Engine business. Wesley loved to work and was always there when somebody needed a helping hand.

Wesley is survived by his wife Cindy Gribble of 26 years ands his 8 children. Jeffrey and Katie Gribble (Christopher, Joshua, Alyssa, Logan, Seth). Wesley and Melinda Gribble (Tori, Chewy and PaddyMae). Michelle and Darrell Thompson (Matthew, Amanda). Thomas and Cassandra Gribble (Jorden, Morgan, and Joni). Melissa Gribble (Gage and Gavin). Jennifer Gribble (Frankie, Jason, Matthew). Carol Gribble (Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Josue, Keenan) Jason and Rachel Gribble (Charlotte, Preston, Ella, Brooklyn). Several great grand children: Brooklyn, Cheyenne, Austin, Dylan, Kai, Keanu, Xion, Matthew, Elijah, Kassidy, Addison, Hunter, Keegan, Klayton, Natalee, Kobe and siblings Claude, Cecil and Eva.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and Grandchildren: Wolfgang, Wyatt Andrew, Jahmir and Presley Grace.

A Memorial service for Wesley will be held on October 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Olney Springs Cemetery, Olney Springs, CO, where his parents and several siblings are buried.
