Obituary

Kenneth Lee Williams, 76, of La Junta passed away peacefully on November 10, 2021 at the Bent County Healthcare Center in Las Animas, Colorado. Kenneth was born May 26, 1945 in Compton, California to Marvin and Dorothy (Weaver) Williams.

Kenneth has lived in La Junta for the past 26 years. During his childhood Kenneth would come to La Junta and spend the summers with his aunt and uncle. He was an avid Christian, loved the Lord and loved his church. He enjoyed working on and collecting different types of clocks. Kenneth was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed working on various projects. You could always find him tinkering on something. In his woodshop, he had built a scale model of a church, which even has working interior lights. Kenneth was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wanda Williams of the La Junta home; children, Kimberly (Darren) Cunningham of Mead, CO; Jim (Jennifer) Williams of Mansfield, TX; step-daughter, Cany (Casey) Scott of Denton, TX; mother-in-law, Margaret Cunningham of Riverton, WY; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Kory Mobley; and brother, Jimmy Williams.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church in La Junta, Colorado with Pastor Ted Williams officiating. Graveside inurnment with military honors will be held that afternoon, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta, Colorado.
