Swink Lions Boys BBall Defeats Sangre Thunderbirds 

Friday afternoon the Swink Lions hosted the Sangre De Cristo Thunderbirds in a non-league game.

Swink took control of the pacing in the first quarter and put twenty more points on the board than the Thunderbirds. The score at the end of the first quarter was 23-3, with Swink holding a healthy lead.

The quick scoring action continued for Swink through the second quarter, but Sangre De Cristo was only able to put up three more points compared to Swink's fifteen points. At the end of the first half the score was 37 to 6, with Swink continuing their lead.

The third quarter brought another scoring rally for the Lions as they put up sixteen more points and Sangre De Cristo was unable to add to their side of the scoreboard. At the end of the third the score was 53 to 6 in Swink's favor.

The final quarter was a shut out for the Thunderbirds as they were scoreless again. Many of the starters for the Thunderbirds were freshmen and they had difficulty keeping up with the Lions older and more experienced team. The final score was 61 to 6 with the Lions taking the win.
