Lightning Over Otero County Courthouse Photo Gallery

Lightning strikes multiple times in the distance behind the Otero County Courthouse in La Junta. This Summer thunderstorm brought much needed rain during a drought.

Colorado Avenue slick with rain from the storm. After the rain slowed down, the lightning and thunder continued.

The Clouds reflected purple from the lightning strikes.

Purple Lightning Over the Otero County Courthouse put on a show just before the Fourth of July.

For a fraction of a second the night sky flashes brighter than daylight from lightning striking in La Junta, Colorado.
