Woodruff Memorial Library + Imagination Library, SRP Update

We still have 3 weeks of the Summer Reading Program (SRP) left! There is still time to register so please do so and take advantage of the fun events and activities coming up!

I would like to give a shout out to our Friends of the Library who sponsor many things during our SRP (and throughout the year). They paid for today’s event which was a Live Virtual Class with the Downtown Aquarium in Denver called “Sensational Sharks”. We learned about sharks and even got to see a few LIVE!! They also purchased family pack passes some of which we gave away this morning and have more to give away over the next few weeks. Some other things we benefited from this morning was a new projector (recently purchased) and speaker (purchased last summer).

One more thing I would like to plug is that we are now part of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library!! Our partnership covers Otero County. Anyone with a child under the age of 5 years old will receive a FREE book in the mail every month until the child turns 5. This is a great way to promote early literacy by making sure homes are full of books. Please feel free to share the flyer and here is the link as well.
