La Junta Police Dept. Seeks Info About Fugitive Wanted for Aggravated Robbery

LJPD VS Fugitive Wanted for Aggravated Robbery

On January 16, 2023 around 5:01pm, Officers with the La Junta Police Department were notified that 25-year-old George Vigil Jr was in the area near 5th St and Bradish Ave in La Junta, Colorado.

Vigil is wanted on multiple warrants for Aggravated Robbery, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and parole violations.

Officers located Vigil and attempted to take him into custody. Officers engaged in a foot pursuit with Vigil who was able to get away. Officers searched the area where Vigil had run but were unable to locate him.  

The La Junta Police Department would like to thank the Otero County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado State Patrol, and the La Junta Fire Department for their help.
