Investigators Seek Information about Possible Additional Victims
Connected to Former Police Officer

February 3, 2023 – CBI – Pueblo, CO – Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) agents investigating a former member of the Cripple Creek police department believe there may possibly be additional victims.

During the course of the investigation of Alexander Kenoyer (DOB: 08/07/1986), CBI agents discovered several explicit images and videos – possibly from the internet – of women who may have been photographed/filmed by Kenoyer without their consent, or who may have been aware they were being photographed/filmed but unaware it was being shared on the internet.  

If you had contact with Kenoyer in his role as a member of law enforcement, and you believe there was inappropriate contact, you are asked to call 719-662-2662.

Kenoyer has been charged with Unlawful Sexual Conduct by a Peace Officer – Intrusion or Penetration – While on Duty (Class 3 Felony), Unlawful Sexual Conduct by a Peace Officer – Contact – While on Duty (Class 4 Felony) and Attempt to Influence a Public Servant (Class 4 Felony).

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Former Police Officer Arrested, Faces Multiple Charges

A comprehensive investigation culminated in an arrest warrant being issued for former Cripple Creek Police Department Detective/Sergeant Alexander Kenoyer on December 19, 2022.

Kenoyer (DOB: 08/07/1986) faces charges of Unlawful Sexual Conduct by a Peace Officer – Intrusion or Penetration – While on Duty (Class 3 Felony), Unlawful Sexual Conduct by a Peace Officer – Contact – While on Duty (Class 4 Felony) and Attempt to Influence a Public Servant (Class 4 Felony).

Cripple Creek Police Chief Charles Bright requested the investigative assistance of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation based on allegations made by a citizen as part of an Internal Affairs investigation initiated by the department on August 20, 2022.

The charges stem from an alleged inappropriate sexual relationship with a victim in an alleged crime the sergeant investigated as a member of the Cripple Creek Police Department beginning in October 2021.

Kenoyer was placed on Administrative Leave on August 24, 2022; he resigned from the Cripple Creek Police Department on October 25, 2022.

He turned himself in to police on December 19, 2022. His advisement in the 4th Judicial District Court occurred on December 20, 2022. Kenoyer was released on $10,000 bond.
