La Junta Fire Department Assists in Multiple Brush Fires

Yesterday (4/18/23) we responded first to Bent County for mutual aid for a large brush fire East of Las Animas at Rd 19 and Rd JJ and assisted with the eastern front of the fire for containment.

We assisted numerous department. The. At 559 pm we were dispatched to Rd 31 and Rd MM North of Cheraw was another brush fire.

Rocky Ford Rocky Ford Fire Department and Cheraw Fire Department assisted us with this 6.5 acre fire. No injuries reported.
