LJPD Issues BOLO for Stolen LJ Mill Flatbed

Description: Officers issued a BOLO on the vehicle to law enforcement in the region and later obtained a warrant for Ira Nicholson on charges of Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft in the 2nd Degree, Second Degree Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief. (These charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is innocent until or unless proven guilty.)

LJPD Issues BOLO for Stolen LJ Mill Flatbed

On May 21, 2023 at about 5:46 PM officers with the La Junta Police Department were dispatched to 100 Smithland Ave, the La Junta Mill and Elevator, in La Junta, CO for a burglary.

Officers learned that a white 1999 Ford F-450 flatbed pickup with Colorado license plate EQB484 was stolen from the La Junta Mill and Elevator. After reviewing the security camera footage of the break-in, officers identified the suspect as 55-year-old Ira Nicholson.

Officers issued a BOLO on the vehicle to law enforcement in the region and later obtained a warrant for Nicholson on charges of Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft in the 2nd Degree, Second Degree Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief.
