La Junta Senior Golf Results July 11, 2023
 
The La Junta Senior Golf League met at the La Junta Golf Course on July 11.  Forty-three players signed up for the 9-hole dice golf game.  The golfers were split into nine teams (two teams of 4 golfers and seven teams of 5 golfers).  “The dice game” consists of a roll of the dice to determine which tee box all the golfers on the team will use to tee off.  Even with the element of chance in the game with the roll of the dice, it ended up being a very close game and a five-team tie for first place!
           
No one made the Challenge Chip on hole 4; the Challenge Putt on hole 5 was made by Mike Stokes, Rob Tryon and Frank McKenzie.

Next Tuesday, July 18, the league members will play a regular scramble game with a putting twist.  We are now meeting for registration at 8:15 – 8:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 8:45 and no players can be added after that.  Play will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m.
