8/1/2023
Deputies responded to the 400 block of 5th street for suspicious activity. Deputies arrived on scene and were unable to locate.
Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Maple in Las Animas for a possible domestic. Deputies contacted the parties and found small kids were playing and screaming and accidently called 911.
Deputies responded to Carson Avenue in Las Animas for a welfare check. Deputies were unable to locate the party in the area. Deputies cleared.
Deputies responded to the area of Oak and Sixth Street in Las Animas for a 911 hang up. Deputies arrived and checked the area. Deputies were unable to locate any problems.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Ave for a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was entered as a runaway, found and returned to his parents.
Deputies responded to the 900 block of Carson Avenue in Las Animas for a vehicle lockout. Deputies assisted the party with a unlock.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Locust Avenue in Las Animas for a door being broken. Deputies checked the building and contacted the property owner.
Deputies responded to a reckless driver on Highway 50 near mile marker 410 in Bent County. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke to the driver. Deputies gave the party a verbal warning due to no reckless driving being observed.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Carson Avenue in Las Animas for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted the ambulance crew. The party was transported to the hospital.
Deputies responded to the 800 block of Carson in Las Animas for a domestic issue. Deputies arrived and investigated the incident. One party was arrested and taken to the Bent County Jail.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Vine in Las Animas for a theft call. Deputies spoke to the reporting party and found it to be a civil issue and not criminal.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue for a burglary alarm. Deputies arrived on scene and determined everything was okay.
Deputies responded to the 600 block of Carson Avenue for an ambulance assist. Deputies arrived on scene and assisted medical staff. The individual was transported to the hospital.
Deputies responded to County road FF.5 and County road 14.5 for a suspicious party. Deputies arrived and found the party to be suicidal. Deputies transported the party to the Bent County Ambulance. The party was then transported to the hospital.
Deputies responded to the jail for a party that wanted to turn themselves in. Party was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of fifth street in Las Animas for a burglary. Deputies arrived and investigated the incident. Deputy cleared the scene.
Deputies responded to the 600 block of Carson Avenue in Las Animas for a welfare check. Deputies arrived and called for an ambulance to assist the party. Party refused ambulance transport.
Deputies received a call to the 500 block of Garfield Avenue for a possible disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies investigated and determined this to be a civil issue between both parties.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 50 and mile marker 394 for speeding. Upon further investigation, the driver had an active warrant for their arrest. The individual was placed into custody and transported to the Bent County Jail.
Deputies were dispatched to the 600th block of Carson Avenue for an ambulance assist. Deputies arrived on scene.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue for a burglar alarm. Deputies arrived on scene and determined everything was okay.
Deputies responded to the area of Highway 50 and County Road 13 for a call of a suspicious person. Deputies patrolled the area and were unable to locate.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Ambassador Thompson for a call of a mental subject. Deputies arrived on scene and gave the individual a courtesy ride home.
Deputies responded to Highway 50 and mile marker 389 for a report of a reckless driver. Deputies patrolled the area and were unable to locate.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Adams Avenue for a burglary. Deputies talked to the party and was trying to get service.
Deputies were dispatched to the 600th block of Garfield Avenue for a dog not having food or water. Deputies arrived on scene talked to the homeowner and the dog was taken inside for food and water.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Locust Ave for a report of a civil problem. Deputies spoke with all parties and came to a resolution.
Deputies Responded to 600 block of Carson Avenue for a welfare check. Deputies found everything to be okay.
Deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of CR GG.5 for a vin inspection. Deputies arrived on scene vin inspection was completed.
Deputies responded to the visitor center at John martin for a medical assist. Deputies helped load the party.

Deputies conducted a registration check on the 600 block of Carson.. Upon further investigation deputies discovered the driver failed to add new sticker.
Deputies responded to highway 50 and county road 28 for a suspicious party. Deputies gave a ride to Las Animas.
Deputies responded to 200 block of 6th street for a metal subject. Deputies helped get the party loaded.
Deputies responded to the 10 block of E 6th St. for a report of threats. Deputies spoke with the parties and they determined they just wanted a report for now.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of McAfee Ave for a report of sexual assault. Deputies are investigating.
Deputies responded to the 100 block of Bent Ave for a report of suspicious activity. Deputies were unable to locate anyone in the area, but found everything to be secure.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Ave for a burglary alarm. Deputies found this to be a false alarm.
Deputies responded to the area of Highway 50 and County Road 6.5 for an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted ambulance personnel.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Ambassador Thompson for a report of a vehicle hitting a dog. Deputies attempted to locate the dog that was hit and was unable to.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of 6th St. for a report of a suspicious party. Deputies spoke with the party who left the area without any issues.
Deputies responded to the area of Highway 101 Mile Marker 2 for a cow out on the highway. Deputies were able to get ahold of the owner and place the cow into a pasture.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Ash Ave. for a report of gunshots. Deputies searched the area and determined it was fireworks.
Deputies responded 500 block of St Clair in hasty for a medical assist. Deputies helped load the party.
Deputies responded to highway 50 and county road 18 for a suspicious person. Party was okay and walking to Lamar.
Deputies responded to the 400 block of grove for a medical assist. Deputies helped load the party.
Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 6th St. for an animal attack. Deputies spoke with all the parties involved and a summons was issued.
Deputies responded to the 1,000 block of Maple Ave for an assist the public call. Deputies spoke with all parties and assisted both parties on how to handle their problem.
Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 101, and County Road 14 for a report of a vehicle rolled over. Deputies were unable to locate any crashed vehicles.
Deputies responded to the 200 block of Sunflower Ave in Hasty for a report of theft. Deputies investigated and arrested one party for domestic violence, the party was transported to the Bent County Jail.
Deputies responded to the 600 block of 4th St for a burglary alarm. Deputies determined the alarm was set off by the thunderstorm.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Poplar Avenue for the report of a burglar alarm. Deputies determined that everything okay.
Deputies completed a call back about theft and fraud. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies responded to the 900 block of 5th St. for a report of a welfare check. Deputies spoke with the party and everything was okay.
Deputies responded to the intersection of 6th Street and Maple Avenue for the report of a suspicious person. Deputies were unable to locate anyone suspicious.
Deputies responded to 300 block of 5th street for damaged property. Deputies took statements and reports.
Deputies responded to Elm street for a report of a reckless driver. Deputies were unable to contact the driver.
Deputies responded to the 1000 block of vine for a suspicious person. Deputies were unable to find anyone in the area.
Deputies responded to 30000 block of county road 15 for a theft. Deputies took a report and statement.
Deputies responded to the 200 block of Elm for a controlled substance. Deputies advised party it was not a controlled substance.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Vine Avenue for the report of possible shots fired. Deputies were unable to locate any evidence of shots being fired.
Deputies received a call to the 500 block of Elm Avenue for an ambulance assist. Deputies cleared the scene when the female party refused assistance.
Deputies responded to Highway 183 in Bent County for a suspicious vehicle. Deputies arrived and were unable to locate any vehicles in the area.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Cottonwood Ave for a report of an animal attack. Deputies took one dog to the pound for quarantine, and the owner was issued a summons.
Deputies received a call to assist the ambulance at the 700 block of Vine Avenue. Deputies assisted in loading the patient.
Deputies responded to the 1,200 block of County Road FF.75 for a livestock call. Deputies arrived on scene and the livestock was returned to its owner.

8/7/2023
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Grove Avenue for a report of a runaway juvenile. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to the reporting party. Deputies patrolled the area and were unable to locate. The juvenile was entered as a runaway.
Deputies received a call to respond to the 1100 block of 4th Street for a welfare check. Deputies were unable to make contact but responded back after a family member had made entry into the residence. The coroner was advised and the scene was investigated. No foul play was determined.
Deputies received a call for an abandon burned vehicle near county road JJ and county road 19. Due to deputies receiving another emergent call in Las Animas, Colorado State Patrol handled the call.
Deputies received a call for threats near the 500 block of Bent Avenue. Deputies tried calling the reporting party about the incident but couldn't receive an answer.
Deputies were given a referral from Adult Protective Services regarding an individual in Las Animas, CO. Deputies found everything to be okay.
Deputies received a call to respond to highway 50 and mile marker 391 for unknown bones being found near the rail road tracks. Deputies investigated with the help of the corner, and determined them to be animal bones.
Deputies responded to the 600 block of Vigil Street for a suspicious person. Deputies arrived and checked the area but were unable to locate any parties in the area.
Deputies responded to the 200 block of Sixth Street in Las Animas for a assault. Deputies arrived and spoke to the parties involved. Parties did not want to pursue criminal charges. All parties were advised to stay away from one another.
Deputies responded to Highway 194 and County Road 10 for cattle on the highway. Deputies arrived and assisted the owner with placing cattle back inside the fence.

Deputies were contacted about a person with a warrant on Poplar Avenue and 9th street. Deputies checked the name and the party did not have any warrants.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of 3rd street for a call of suspicious activity. Deputies arrived on scene and determined everything was okay.
Deputies responded to the area of 5th Street and McBride Avenue for a report of a an individual burning in a barrel. Deputies did not locate any fires in the area.
Deputies responded to Dollar General for a report of damaged property. Deputies observed the property said to be damaged at the store and found that the damage had happen prior.
Deputies responded to the 700 block of Vine Ave for a civil standby. Deputies completed the civil standby.
Deputies responded to the 31000 block of County Road 10.5 for a report of a juvenile problem. Deputies spoke with the parents and the juvenile about the issue and were able to get it resolved.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of 5th Street for a report of damaged property. Deputies have documented the damage and were advised that a report was not wanted nor needed.

Deputies responded to the 30000 block of County Road 15 for the report of an ambulance assist. Deputies assisted EMS.
Deputies responded to Highway 50 mile marker 393 for cattle on the highway. Deputies arrived and placed cattle back inside the fence. Deputies cleared the scene.
Deputies were notified by Bent County Dispatch of a failure to register. Deputies took the report and a warrant was requested through the courts.
Deputies responded to 6th and McBride Avenue for two dogs out. Deputies arrived and checked the area but were unable to locate any dogs out on the street.

Deputies received a call for a stray dog near the 300 block of Vigil Avenue. Deputies transported the dog to the dog pound.
Deputies received a call to the 300 block of Bent Avenue for a suspicious person. Deputies arrived and were advised the male party had already left the area.
Deputies received a call to the Bent County and Otero County line for assistance in closing down west bound traffic due to a vehicle fire. Deputies arrived and rerouted traffic.
Deputies were dispatched to a phone message to assist another agency with adult abuse. Deputies found the incident did not happen in Bent County or the Sate of Colorado. Deputies advised reporting party.
Deputies responded to Highway 194 mile marker 12 for a motorist assist. Deputies arrived and provided the party with a ride to town. Deputies returned the owner to their vehicle and cleared the scene.
Deputies responded to the 8000 block of County road FF 7.5 in Las Animas to assist another agency with a livestock issue. Deputies arrived and stood by while the other agency spoke to the livestock owner. Deputies cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to the 700th block of 5TH ST of a dog not having water tided up on a pole. Deputies arrived the dog had water in his bowl.
Deputies was dispatched to the 100th block of Moore Ave of dogs at large. Deputies arrived in scene dogs were returned to the owner.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 9th street for a civil problem. Deputies advised party to follow courts orders
Deputies responded to the 1200 block of 9th Street for the report of a violation of protection order. After further investigation, Deputies determined that there was no violation and that the issue was civil.
Deputies responded to the 600 block of Grove Avenue for the report of a domestic problem. Deputies arrested one male individual and transported him to the Bent County Jail.
