75th Anniversary of John Martin Dam

Description: Major General Kimberly M. Colloton of the US Army Corps of Engineers speaks to the crowd at the 75th anniversary celebration at John Martin Reservoir Saturday. Prior to the speeches, the La Junta VFW presented the colors and the La Junta High School Band provided the National Anthem and music. At left is Jim Rizzuto, chairman of the Arkansas River Compact Administration. Activities during the day included a disc golf tournament, corn hole tournament, fishing derby, food vendors, dam tours, food vendors, and a fireworks finale.
