Update from Rocky Ford Police:

Well, well, well. Guess what we just inspected?

Thank you to the family of the driver for their hospitality, as we interviewed the driver.

Investigation ongoing at this time, but the pieces 🧩 are coming together.

Involved in the Destruction of Rocky Ford City Property Last Night?

The tenacious investigators at the Rocky Ford Police Department have been able to identify the year, make and model of the involved vehicle and are currently working through the database to find all nearby registered owners of that type of vehicle.

If you own a blue Ford Escape, no doubt with significant front end damage (as we have the busted pieces from it in evidence), we suggest you beat us at our own game and give dispatch a call at 719-254-3344 to arrange a sit down meeting with us about your shenanigans.

*** UPDATE - at this stage, we do not find evidence to indicate that a vehicle is in the water.

Rocky Ford Police Department are at the water treatment plant, investigating what may be a vehicle submerged in the water.

There is evidence of a vehicle's driving through the perimeter fences, causing expensive damage to city property and further evidence of a vehicle driving around the edge of the retention ponds.

This is not an area open to the public, and while you may think you’re ‘Jeff Gordon,' it is not a NASCAR track..!

If you’re on Hopkins Avenue and have cameras on your home that may have captured vehicular traffic traveling westbound towards the treatment plant during the evening, please reach out to us 719-254-3344.

Pieces of the offending vehicle with identifying part numbers have been taken into evidence and the investigation is ongoing.

Please stay out of the area.
