Rocky Ford Police Dept. VS Violent Offender

About 9:45pm, the Rocky Ford Police Dept were dispatched to the 300 block of N 5th Street for a report of a male suspect smashing a vehicle with a piece of wood and attempting to assault residents in the area.

With the assistance of the Otero County Sheriff’s Office, a 47 year old male suspect was taken into custody, after resisting peace officers on scene who were attempting to effect his arrest.

Fortunately, no members of the community, or peace officers, were injured by this suspect.

The suspect was charged with multiple offenses, including Criminal Mischief, Manacing, Assault and Resist Arrest and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a Court of law.
