Due to expected ice accumulation, Prowers County offices will operate on a delayed start tomorrow morning, Thursday December 14th, 2023. County offices will open at 9:00 a.m.

Due to inclement weather conditions, Crowley County School District will be closed today (December 14, 2023). All activities scheduled for today have been canceled as well.

Due to weather conditions there will be no school today December 14 for Manzanola Elementary students.  Grades 6-12 will be on remote learning so please have your student access their google classrooms.  Stay safe and have a great weekend!

Otero Child Development Services:

Lamar Head Start: due to weather, we will be on a 2-hour delay on Thursday, December 14. School will begin at 9:45 am.

Manzanola Head Start: due to weather, we will be on a 2-hour delay on Thursday, December 14. School will begin at 9:45 am.

Boone Center EHS families: due to weather, the center will be closed Thursday, December 14.

Swink School will be on a 2 HOUR DELAY THIS MORNING - Thursday, December 14th.  School will start @ 9:45 AM and breakfast will NOT be served.

Las Animas School District will be on regular schedule today -Thursday, 12/14

Rocky Ford School District is on a normal schedule for today. Classes will start at the regular time.

Due to the current conditions there will be no school in Walsh today, December 14th. Stay warm and have a wonderful break!  At the current time the basketball teams will still be participating in the HBT.  Players watch for communication from coaches for any changes in this status.

Cheraw School District will be on regular schedule today- Thursday, December 14th.

Due to storm, ice, & probable snow, SPRE4 will not have classes Pk-12 on Thursday, 12/14. Springfiels High School basketball will still be part of the HBT. Teams need to check emails to be up to date on all travel or other plans. Stay safe!

The Girls Wrestling Tri in Walsenburg on Dec. 14, 2023  is postponed.

Vilas School is cancelled on December 14th due to weather.  Enjoy your Christmas break.  We look forward to resuming school on January 2nd.

There is a two hour weather delay on 12/14/23 at Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site. The fort will open at 11:00 am. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory today for the area through 11:00 am. Be safe!
