Rocky Ford Police VS Eluding Car Crasher

About 9:26am, December 15th, 2023, the Rocky Ford Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a building in the 1000 block of Elm Avenue. 

The vehicle left the scene immediately prior to the arrival of responding officers, so officers headed in the last known direction of the involved vehicle, finding it crashed around the 1500 block of Elm Avenue.

The driver was attempting to escape from the vehicle on scene, but was apprehended without further incident. 

The driver was detained for a driving under the influence investigation and later charged with driving under the influence and a range of other traffic related charges pertaining to the crash. He is to appear at the Otero County Court for those charges.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
