LJPD Reports: La Junta High School Secure School Notification Sent as Precaution

At Around 8 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 the La Junta Police Reported they responded to an agency assist for the Rocky Ford Police Department and the Otero County Sheriff's Office to check a residence for a person.

La Junta High School was sent a Secure School Notification as a precaution only due to the proximity of the residency. 

There was no threat to the public, and the school security situation is back to normal, according to the reporting officer with LJPD.
