Lewis Bolt & Nut Donates $24,437 to La Junta Associated Charities

In a 25 year-plus Christmas tradition, La Junta Associated Charities recently received a massive donation from Lewis Bolt and Nut Company.

Lewis Bolt and Nut Operations Manager Brett McIntosh said, "It's an employee driven food drive."

Lewis Bolt and Nut has donated for at least 25 years, it probably started with Mike Cronin and the toy bowl, Shelly Noe said.

Consistently demonstrating their unwavering commitment to La Junta, the team at Lewis Bolt & Nut Company once again answered the call to help our Community.

Through their annual collection drives and generous contributions, the incredible men and women of Lewis Bolt & Nut Company have gone above and beyond with their cash contribution of $12,131.

Uniting forces with the Company's match, a check in the amount of $24,262 and $175 in cash was presented to La Junta Associated Charities.

"Their collective dedication continues to make an immeasurable impact, providing vital support to families within our local area," McIntosh said.

This large of a donation will impact over 1,200 families this next year, according to Associated Charities.

1,100 meals were distributed in November, with 200 turkeys and 200 hams to be given out for Christmas, according to Associated Charities Manager Cathleen Irigoyen. She said there are about five volunteers who help at the La Junta-based non-profit.
