Dive under the sea this summer with Plays in the Park Youth-Led Theatre Company in a production of “The Little Mermaid JR.”

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's “The Little Mermaid JR.” is a musical adventure that follows Ariel, who longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking. Ariel’s undersea journey is a beautiful love story, which takes an enchanting look at the sacrifices we make for love and acceptance.

This year, Plays in the Park Youth-Led Theatre Company will be directing this show as a Broadway Bootcamp. In the span of two weeks, students will learn and perform the junior production of The Little Mermaid, receiving a true “broadway experience.”

A month prior to the camp, actors will audition and be casted, giving students time to prepare and memorize their lines/songs. This camp is open to K-12 youth.

Auditions: June 7th

Camp/Rehearsal Dates: July 15-25

Production Dates: July 26, 27, 28
