La Junta Police Report: Fictitious Plates Lead to Meth Arrest

On April 3rd, 2024 at about 12:06 am, Officers with the La Junta Police Department contacted a vehicle at Loaf N Jug at 918 W 3rd St in La Junta, CO with fictitious license plates.

After a proactive investigation, officers arrested 52-year-old Edward Cordova on an outstanding warrant.

Officers also found a baggie of methamphetamine in Cordova's possession.

Cordova was booked into jail for his warrant as well as unlawful possession of a controlled substance, attempted tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest.

All parties are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
