Two Arrested in Rocky Ford After Early Morning Shooting, Suspects Charged with Attempted Murder
August 24th, 2024 - Rocky Ford Police Department - Rocky Ford, CO
On August 23rd, 2024 at approximately 12:45 am officers of the Rocky Ford Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of S 14th St. in regards to possible gunshots in the area.
Officers located an adult male with a single gunshot wound. The male party was transported to Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center and later transferred to a metro area hospital for further treatment.
As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at 511 S 14th St in Rocky Ford on the evening of August 23rd, 2024. Two suspects, Serina Salazar, and Esteven Salazar, were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Bent County Jail.
Serina was charged with Criminal Attempt to commit Murder in the First Degree, and Assault in the First Degree both pertaining to Domestic Violence. Esteven was charged with Criminal Attempt to commit Murder in the First Degree, and Assault in the First Degree.
