"Around 1200 today we were requested by Las Animas Fire for mutual aid for a large wild land fire. It was at Rd 16 and JJ. Strong winds made the fire move fast to the south threatening Ft Lyon. We worked the North end of the fire along to the West to help protect Ft Lyon Cemetery and Ft Lyon it self. Numerous departments were assisted as well. Lamar Fire, Prowers County Rural, Eads, Wiley, Hasty/McClave, Cheraw, Rocky Ford, Sugar City, Crowley County. Bent County Sheriff. Good work by all."
