Obituary

"Kim from Kim"

Kimberly Gaye Goode (Broce) departed this life in the early morning hours of February 19th, 2021 at the family home in the presence of her loved ones.

Kimberly was born January 11th, 1962 in La Junta Colorado to Howard R. (Bud) and Rose Mary (Laurent) Broce. A while later Kim was blessed with a baby sister Kelly. Her parents both worked in La Junta and had the privilege of living next door to Kim's paternal grandparents who served as babysitters and were there to instill wonderful values and life lessons into their granddaughters. In the early to mid-1970'S near the end of her grade school years, Bud and Rose made the leap to Kim Colorado, quitting their jobs in La Junta and taking over Bud's brother Ralph's propane business. It began an entire new phase for the family and that was when Clell became aware of the cute new girl with the long red ponytail. Clell and Kim began dating in junior high and did so off and on through their high school days. After high school Kim won the Miss Southeast Colorado beauty pageant. After fulfilling her duties as Miss Southeast Colorado Clell and Kimberly were married on April 11th, 1981. They lived on the family T7 Ranch for several years until moving to Page, Arizona with all of Clell's family. Kimberly worked numerous waitressing jobs where she loved getting to meet people from all over the world, including many celebrities. Kim never knew a stranger. She was always outgoing and generous. Kim loved music, camping, gardening and cooking, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. "Mimi" took so much pride in all of them and couldn't wait to see them in between their visits.

Kimberly is survived by her beloved husband, Clell R. Goode of the family home; son, Kellen C. Goode, her grandchildren, Acoya Bartlett, Aiyana Goode, Aunden Goode and Ahlari Goode of Douglas, Wyoming; daughter, Courtney Anadon and grandchildren, Tayvin Roberts and Hudson Anadon of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Kelly (Scotty Harris) McGuire of Page, Arizona; her parents, Howard “Bud” and Rose Mary Broce; her mother and father-in-law of 40 years, Jack C. and Angialea Goode of La Junta; along with many nieces and nephews, in-laws and countless friends. She touched so many lives in so many ways and will be greatly missed.

Due to covid-19 restrictions we are postponing a celebration of Kim's life until a future time when all of her family and friends can be together at one time.

Online condolences may be made at www.PeacockFH.com. Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
