Obituary

A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Lamar, Colorado resident, Christy Johnson will be held at a later date.

Per Christy’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

Christy was born on February 25, 1962 at Aurora, Colorado to R.E. and Louise (Anderson) Hodges and passed away on September 23, 2026 at the Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 64 with her family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Christy is survived by her husband Steve Johnson of the family home in Lamar, sons Zack Johnson of Topeka, KS and Sid (Heather) Johnson of Lamar, CO and grandchildren Miles and Lydia Johnson and Reece Johnson. She is also survived by her brother Glenn E. (Sue) Hodges of Monte Vista, CO as well as numerous other family and a host of friends.

Peacock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
