Las Animas Schools Announces HS Quarantine - No Santa Fe Trail Day for HS Students

"Currently we have 22 probably positive cases in the school district. We need to conduct wide scale quarantines as follows: Elementary Quarantines for Grades 4, 5, and 6 starting Monday 4/26/21 and Return on Monday, 5/03/21

Junior High Will Be On Regular Schedule.

Sports as scheduled at this time for Junior High.

All High School Students Quarantined Starting Monday, 4/26/21 and Will Return on 5/05/21.

Remote Schedule Will Follow the Regular Bell Schedule During Remote Learning.

No Extra Curricular Activities, Sports and Santa Fe Trail Day for High School.

We will get more information out on Monday."

Sunday Afternoon the City of Las Animas posted this on social media:

"The City of Las Animas Leadership will discuss with the Health Department the situation on Monday and make appropriate decisions related to the events which will be in the best interest of the health as well as the economic impact of the community as a whole. While the Santa Fe Trail Day event is a Las Animas School District hosted event, the overall activities throughout the weekend will be decided by the guidance provided and the best interest of all."
