Tri-County Family Care Center “Keep Kids Safe Fair”

During our Cruisin’ Into Fall Harvest Festival, we encourage “Public Safety” booths to participate in our “Keep Kids Safe” portion of the event. This will be held on Saturday, September 25, 10:00 to 5:00 pm at the Arkansas Valley Fairgrounds. Colorado State Patrol has had a driving simulator that is used to show what it is like to be driving while intoxicated. This impressed on individuals the dangers of drinking and driving, as well as, not wearing a seatbelt and speeding.

Among other safety booths have been the Fire & Tornado Safety trailer with La Junta Fire Department, Rocky Ford Police Dept. has offered finger printing of children, US Army Corps of Engineers educates on water safety, a semi-truck & trailer pointed out the blind spots of a vehicle behind or beside it. Operation Lifesaver has had a train wrecked vehicle on display to educate people about railroad crossing safety, and a seatbelt convincer is manned by Colorado State Patrol.

We are seeking more safety booths that will let the community know that you care about the lives of others. A Bingo game is offered for families to visit all of our safety booths to learn how to “Keep Kids Safe”! Prizes are given if your completed entry is chosen in a drawing. For more information or to register a booth, contact Tri-County Family Care Center at 719-254-7776 or email sarah.tricountyfcc@gmail.com
