Cheraw Students Fire Fighter Fundraiser Successful

Cheraw School would like to thank everyone for their support! In just one day, we were able to raise $220, $375 worth of gift certificates to the Frontier Diner, and a huge pile of drinks, snacks, medications, socks, wipes, and sunscreen.

First, we’d like to recognize Cheraw Middle School Student Council along with other Cheraw Middle School students for helping to organize and carry items!

Cheraw School would like to thank the following families for their generous support and donations to the Cheraw Fire Department: Cheraw Frontier Diner, Ricken family, Kirsten Fenton, Goheen family, Miell family, Quick family, Angie Hoss, Tommy Martinez and family, Rutherford/Zimmerman family, Samuel Austin and family, Elliott & Barratt family, and Jody Bracy.

If any families would like to donate that missed out, we will continue accepting donations at Cheraw School for the Cheraw Fire Department all throughout next week (4/18-4/21). Feel free to send donations to the office at Cheraw School.

As you may know, there was a Las Animas firefighter, Jason Garcia, who tragically lost his home due to one of the fires. Cheraw School classrooms have jars set up so that we can accept donations for this cause as well. The money will be donated directly to the bank account set up in Jason Garia’s name. Students are more than welcome to donate money to the jars in their classrooms!
