Arkansas Valley Community Concert Association Presents Mark Hensley Nov 17th

The Board of Directors of the Arkansas Valley Concert Association is pleased to bring to you our next concert—Mark Hensley on Thursday, November 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ed Stafford Theatre on the Otero College campus.

Mark Hensley is a native of La Junta, and started his piano studies with local teacher Marilyn Russell. After his piano degree at the University of Denver, he did further study with several advanced private teachers. He is a veteran of international piano competitions, and performs frequently in the Seattle area, where he co-organizes the yearly Bach in the Subway festival, and is a member of the Lake Washington 8-Hand Piano Ensemble. In his solo performances, Mark pursues the highest technical challenges, while working to cultivate a beautiful golden piano tone and explore music's emotional and spiritual depths. Mark will traverse the classical, romantic, and modern periods to perform a mix of fiery, beautiful, and playful works by Chopin, Mozart, Shostakovich, and more.

Season memberships are $58 for adults for this and four remaining concerts. Children under 18 are free if accompanied by an adult.  One night ticket for this concert is $20 for adults.  Memberships and one night tickets may be purchased at the door between 6:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on November 17.
