Rocky Ford Fire Department VS Structure Fire Caused by Wood Stove

Today (January 31, 2023) at approximately 8:20 am we were paged to a structure fire at 20607 CR DD.5. 

Upon arrival we immediately identified active flames on the bravo side of the residence.

All occupants evacuated the home prior to our arrival.

We immediately deployed attack lines and ladders to engage initial attack operations interior and exterior to extinguish the fire. 

We received auto-aid from Manzanola Volunteer Fire Department, and DFPC Engine 34. We also received assistance from the OCSO.

Fire was contained to the point of origin caused from faulty wood stove ventilation. All units cleared at approximately 11:30am and no further damage or injuries reported.
