Obituary
 
Nappy Herrera of Rocky Ford passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his fiancé’s apartment. Nappy was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Sophia & Antonio Herrera. Nappy was a huge Broncos fan. He used to coach youth baseball and football. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and listening to music. Nappy loved to drink coffee and go cruising with his fiancé, Connie. He was a friend to everyone and was always willing to help. Nappy was an artist, enjoying painting and ceramics. He loved his family very much, he was Uncle Homie to his nieces and nephews. He would sing Christian songs to his niece to help her fall asleep. He loved Connie’s granddaughter and was always helping her do stuff.
 
Nappy is survived by 2 sons: Andrew Herrera of NM, Thomas Lopez of Las Vegas, NV, 2 siblings: Sam (Eleanor) Herrera of Colorado Springs: Gloria Lopez of Rocky Ford, fiancé Julia "Connie" Ornellas, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents: Sophia & Antonio Herrera, siblings: Nick Herrera, Joe Herrera, Erlinda Garcia and Raymond Herrera.

Services will be held at a later time.
 
Bellwood Ford Ustick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
